Page size: 7.5 x 5.5 inches; 30pp. Bound by the artist: hand-sewn into dark purple Katie McGregor handmade paper wrappers to which an original contact printed image made using botanic specimens has been collaged; book housed in silk bag which is housed in custom-made clamshell box, bag is brown silk and eco printed in darker brown botanicals, box has eco print on white paper collaged to front panel, interiors lined with original eco printed silk in purples and browns, title and artist name are handwritten in copper ink by the artist on the spine of box. The 30 pages are all contact printed pages using botanic specimens. The text is hand-written in copper ink by the artist across the bottom of the botanical specimens. The text reads:
Where ships of purple
On seas of daffodil,
Fantastic sailors mingle,
And then-the wharf is still.
The artist's use of nature to create the prints covering each page manages to express the poet's sense of motion and, then, stillness. . Selected for the 43-work exhibition, "Vessel" sponsored by the Guild of Book Workers.
