Page size: 5-13/16 x 8-11/16 inches; 24pp. Bound: loose as issued in publisher's drab wrappers, housed in custom-made brown cloth over boards clamshell box with paper label on spine printed in black with title. Sarah Plimpton's poem is accompanied by her own aquatints which were printed b Peter Pettengill in Hinsdale, NH. Ms. Plimpton designed and illustrated and printed the book in 1996 at the Manhattan Graphics Center and the Grenfell Press in New York City. The box was made by BookLab in Austin, TX. The text of the short poem is broken / framed by the type extending across each page spread, words spaced to mimic or be set off by the aquatints. The result is a splendid page design and more: a picture incorporating words in a pleasing, intriguing manner. Item #10502
